I think I’m starting to love maternity sessions just as much as weddings and engagements. Their focus may be a bit different but just like engagements and weddings, maternity portraits are celebrating a very unique and special time in a couples’ life – which I’m all about! I may also have a soft spot for these sessions because in the last couple of years I’ve seen siblings and close friends begin to grow their families and welcome babies into the world. And what a challenging, amazing and precious time in a couples’ life story!
Brittany and Eric are from back east but have been calling Seattle home for a little while now. And as most people know, Seattle in the winter can be cold, wet and dark. Brittany and I emailed for weeks back and forth trying to come up with a back up plan in case we were out of luck with the weather but somehow we ended up with a rare sunny day in December. It was brisk and chilly at Discovery Park but it was perfection! We even got lucky with a summerlike golden hour that we took full advantage of. Being from Los Angeles I’m a huge fan of the sun, especially during portraits and I was so thrilled we got some beautiful sunset shots to celebrate Brittany and Eric’s little one! And by the way, how killer does Brittany look?!! I can’t wait for these two to become wonderful, loving parents to their sweet baby girl!
