Best of Year3

The year is officially ending so I thought I would share some of my favorite and most memorable moments of 2015! I didn’t want to create an unbearably long post as most of these sessions and weddings can be found on my blog already but I think this collection of images nicely sums up the year that I’ve had as a Seattle and Los Angeles wedding photographer.

Good people. Amazing stories. Constant traveling. Candid moments. Natural light. Beauty.

This year pushed me and made me a better at what I do. I feel really lucky to be entrusted to document such important moments in people’s lives and create long lasting art that will be treasured in each family for years to come. I’ve learned more about myself along the way as well. I know the kind of clients I truly enjoy and connect with, I know the best lighting situation that speaks to my creativity, I know I love uniqueness and I know I want to continue to explore. Living and working in two cities (LA + Seattle) has been a fun balance and challenge to this last year. Some may think such a commute would be too much but honestly I feel lucky to be able to work in my two favorite cities. Los Angeles will always be home so while I reside in Seattle I most definitely will continue to book weddings in LA. Mainly because I can’t get enough of DTLA, the rolling hills of Malibu and the golden light that Southern California has — there simply isn’t anything that compares!

Looking back at some of the highlights of this last year is almost more for me than the readers of my blog it turns out! During the hustle and bustle of wedding season and then engagement season we as wedding photographers can get lost in all that we’ve done and achieved because we are so busy. So going through my archives and remembering every engagement, every wedding and every personal project only makes me more thankful for the year I’ve had, the wonderful people I’ve met along the way and I’m just so excited for what’s to come next year.
