Hello, wedding season! Not only is summer my favorite season because of the warmer weather and longer days, but this time of year tends to be the most popular season for couples to tie the knot and celebrate their love! With kids on summer vacation and families taking time to relax and enjoy life, the warm months of June, July and August are the perfect time to say, “I do!” So in honor of our love for the summer season, a few local Los Angeles wedding vendors and I got together to create and dedicate a very special styled shoot to a beloved American holiday that just so happens to be right around the corner – the 4th of July!

Our goal for this shoot was to spin a classic holiday into a fresh and modern form of inspiration for real brides planning their very own wedding day! We stuck to the traditional color scheme of red, white and blue and incorporated American flags, stars and stripes to give it an authentic July 4th feel. A simple floral centerpiece and bridal bouquet were used to add a touch of greenery and life to the table scape and the dessert bar included tasty and playful 4th of July desserts. We added a few pieces of vintage furniture and details that tied in nicely with our theme and played well with the colonial-style, Southern California estate.

Putting together our own 4th of July wedding inspiration could not have been more fun! And working with other talented creative is always a blast. As a Los Angeles wedding photographer, I can’t wait to see how brides choose to incorporate touches of this festive holiday into their wedding celebrations this summer.
