If you’re dreaming of a European wine country wedding in Seattle then look no further than Chateau Lill! This Woodinville wedding venue is the perfect setting for an outdoor event any time of the year, but it really shines in the summer months when you can utilize all of the property’s highlights. From the lush gardens and roaming llamas to the rows of growing grape vines next to a giant white barn and the charming chateau, there are endless beautiful backdrops for photos and fun places for your guests to explore throughout the day.
I was so thrilled when I saw how Danielle and Tyler used every inch of Chateau Lill throughout their late fall wedding day. To start the day these two got ready offsite at a local hotel in Kirkland and then made their way to the venue for their first look. My favorite location for their bride and groom portraits ended up being this little sliver of shade right next to a wall full of vines and vibrant flowers. Next was tackling the rest of the group photos with the wedding party and family before guests began to arrive for the garden ceremony on the upper lawn.
While the rest of the property at Chateau Lill feels very European, the upper lawn had a strong Seattle feel with all of the native PNW trees and other greenery, which was a lovely ode to where they were actually tying the knot. After their stunning garden ceremony in the shade with all of their family and friends, everyone moved over to the pond that was nestled right in between the grape vines and the barn with roaming llamas. Guests mingled with light appetizers and colorful cocktails while the sun began to go down.
And the final location of the day was a white tented reception space right beside the chateau with stone flooring, tall vases full of flowers, and hanging greenery to bring extra warmth and life into the space. Tyler and Danielle danced the night away with all of their guests and had a beautiful sparkler exit as the night was winding down. It was truly one of the most elegant Seattle wedding days I’ve been a part of! And every corner of their day was beyond photo worthy and so much to capture.
